San Diego, California, resident William “Bill” Ward has been an attorney for over 35 years. He focuses his practice on construction and business litigation. As owner of The Ward Firm based in La Jolla, attorney William Ward represents clients from San Diego in matters regarding mechanic’s liens, stop notices, and construction claims in public and private works.
Bill Ward is licensed to practice before all California courts, including the Federal Court and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is also admitted to practice before the US Supreme Court in Washington DC and the US District Court in Hawaii. He has tried numerous cases in and around La Jolla, including jury and bench trials, some of which were high-profile cases reported on national media. He has also represented clients in mediations, arbitrations, and administrative hearings. Previously, he was an arbitrator with the American Arbitrators Association.

He earned his JD at Thomas Jefferson School of Law and his bachelor’s degree from Northeastern State University. Away from work, he enjoys traveling, long-distance running, swimming, and listening to music. He also supports organizations like Casa de Los Pobres, 4Ocean, Project Mercy, and American Wild Horse Campaign.
